Property Operations & Facilities Maintenance Technician Program

Through a combination of classroom instruction and 85% hands-on training, students gain real-world experience working with the tools, equipment, and systems commonly found in today’s facilities.
Training includes preventive maintenance, work order management, building inspections, basic electrical systems, plumbing repairs, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, flooring, appliance maintenance, lock and door hardware, lighting systems, landscaping basics, safety procedures, inventory management, and professional customer service.
A major emphasis is placed on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems. Students learn HVAC fundamentals including system components, preventive maintenance, filter replacement, thermostat operation, airflow principles, refrigerant safety awareness, troubleshooting techniques, and routine maintenance procedures that improve equipment performance and energy efficiency.
