The Jennings O’Neil Career Academy’s Medical Occupations program gives students the freedom to investigate various professions within the healthcare system. Students spend time applying practical healthcare skills related to subjects such as anatomy, disease process, and medical terminology. Over two years, students have the opportunity to obtain a certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Those that choose to participate in the CNA program will be required to attend 70 hours of onsite training at a local nursing home and pass a state exam. If you are considering a career in healthcare, this course will provide you with a strong foundation.

YEAR I

Students have the option to obtain their Personal Support Specialist Certificate (PSS) at the end of the program. This allows students to provide personal care to clients in assisted living and home settings. Students receive CPR and First Aid certification.

YEAR II

Got an eye for detail while helping others? Our Electronic Medical Records training will provide you with the skills you need to succeed in one of the fastest-growing healthcare fields. You will develop employer-demanded knowledge in patient record keeping, data management, HIPAA compliance, and more.
